Simple & Elegant

Simple, Beautiful & Elegant

Alisan Porter married her long time friend Brian Autenrieth.
The bride looked beautiful, simple, and elegant. Poter wore a vintage- inspired lace wedding dress by R. Mine.
Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg married his long time love Priscilla Chanin a backyard ceremony on Saturday afternoon at his Palo Alto home.

The wedding was a surprise to guests who thought they were celebrating Chan’s graduation from UCSF Medical School.

Chan wore Claire Pettibone’s “Sky Between the Branches” wedding gown, an ivory laser-cut floral dress adorned with matte sequins lined in silk. Beautiful and simple.

How beautiful is the back of this dressed along with the beautiful Tiffany diamond necklace draped down Jessica's back.

Destination Wedding Planning

Planning your destination wedding! We are experienced destination wedding planners, and we have put together a quick list on tips in planning your away wedding. We hope that all you bride-to-be find these tips useful.

First thing, research your location, resorts, all-inclusive resorts, flights, cost, hotels and everything. Just as you planning a wedding in your area, there are some pre-planning steps for your away wedding. The most effective way to start is by visiting a travel agency that specializes in destination weddings, they will help answer many questions.

Once you have chosen your destination, take some time to research the culture of where you are getting married, the language, your surroundings, hospital research it all..

Weather is a must, not everyone shares the same weather during the same time of year therefore; research temperature, tornado, hurricane season.

Wedding Laws, are different every where specially out of the country. You will need to know what paperwork you need such as, blood work, immunization, marriage license, residency requirements, and  witnesses.  Please note* different countries need different requirements!

Basic but important tip is to be organized, planning a wedding is basically managing a thousand details. Planning a destination wedding doubles the number, so make sure you are set to tackle your plan of action.

How to maintain everything organized:

  • By maintaining file folders
  • Keep receipts, record all payments
  • Set calendars and stick to them
  • Archive e-mails, pictures etc..
We are very loyal to inspirational boards, create your very own board, normally we do this with our clients and they love it.

If you are unsure about planning your destination wedding, hire a wedding specialist. We are more knowledgeable in what you need.

Most important is to be happy. Your wedding day, no matter where you celebrate it, overflows with equal  parts emotions and stress. But if you remain focused. It's just about you and your commitment to your future partner.  And that's all that really matters in the long run.

We hope you found some helpful ideas.

Beyonce Most Beautiful Women In The World

Beyonce,  People Most Beautiful Women In The World.

In the shoot, Beyonce wore this amazing, gorgeous white gown by Marchesa that certainly did her title justice. This dress is gorgeous, but what really stood out is her necklace.  Against her all white dress and her golden skin, the bright blue necklace really made a statement.  The necklace wore on this shoot is from Lorraine Schwartz. This gown can very well be used as a sexy wedding gown!! What do you think?

How amazing does Beyonce look in this video!!

Wedding Day Tips

1. HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER
….or a day-of-coordinator. The key to a stress free wedding day is having a well thought out, realistic schedule and someone there throughout the day who is your advocate. Both of those things are fulfilled by an awesome wedding coordinator.  Brides often say they have a helper of sorts; a mom, relative or friend who is acting as a sort of “coordinator” for the day. Trust me, from experience, no matter how good the intentions are in the beginning, nothing can replace an experienced wedding coordinator. If someone is sharing the role of guest and helper, it’s just not possible to do both roles well. Either they end up helping so much that they don’t get to be a guest and end up missing out on enjoying your day OR they end up getting caught up in being a guest, chatting with all the people who have come from out of town, enjoying the day and losing sight of some of the things that have to be done by someone. Trust me when I say, often the difference between a great wedding day and stressful chaos is having a great wedding coordinator. Elegant Creations, offers 2 planners for your day!

 2. PLAN OUT YOUR WEDDING DAY SCHEDULE

With help from your wedding coordinator. Everything from the time of your ceremony to your hair appointment to the time you plan to cut the cake. I’ve often had couples plan out their entire wedding day only to realize they forgot to allow time for this or that and scramble on the day of to try to make things work. No one wants that kind of stress on their day. Think about these things well ahead of time and ask for help! Professional wedding planners often have invaluable insight into the best way for a wedding day to flow.

3. PLAN FOR THINGS TO TAKE WAY LONGER THAN YOU THINK
On a Monday or Wednesday it may take you  5 minutes to drive from the ceremony site to the reception site on your own. But trust me when I say, on a Friday or  Saturday evening with your entire bridal party and family, it will take longer. Much much longer.  And the hair appointment that you think will take an hour?  well think again :) One of the most important key to a avoiding stress on a wedding day is allowing for plenty of time for everything to happen. Brides do not  wants to be running around in a hurry on her wedding day. If you think it will take an hour to do your hair, allow two. If you think it will take 10 minutes to drive from one spot to another, allow 30 minutes. The ceremony that you swear will only take 15 minutes? By the time all the guests get seated, you get married and every one gets out of the ceremony site while chatting along the way, it’s usually at least 3 times that long. Bottom line, allow for more time than you think you’d ever need. You’ll probably need it :)

4. ENJOY YOUR DAY
 Enjoy, cherish, love and embrace!!!

What To Wear When Attending A Wedding

What To Wear When Attending A Wedding!

Being a Wedding Planner along with a slew of friends getting engaged and/or married, wedding season is definitely upon us!

"I love weddings in the Spring and Summer..
Just as wedding ceremonies and receptions differ according to the couple's tastes and culture, there is no one right dress code for a wedding. What you wear to someones wedding depends on a number of things:

  1. Does the invitation specify a dress code?
  2. If there's no specified dress code, what time of day are the reception and ceremony? For events happening during the day, more casual dress is acceptable.
  3. Where is it all happening? If you'll be outdoors in a park or on a beach, opt for flats or wedges instead of heels that will sink into lawns and sand.
Now, I have to say this for the benefit of the socks-with-sandals, casual-or-die crowd: Please do not wear jeans or casual garb to someones wedding. There are so many everyday occasions where jeans are acceptable. Weddings are not everyday occasions. This is a very special day for the happy couple and for the friends and family members who love them. Show some respect for everyone involved and dress appropriately.

Afternoon wedding: Save the sequins and skin-baring numbers for the raucous bachelorette party! Daytime weddings call for something more demure.

Beach wedding: Lucky enough to be going to a destination wedding in a tropical paradise? Show off sun-kissed skin and keep cool with a short draped jersey dress in a bright hue. Flat metallic sandals make walking on sandy beaches a breeze and add glam shine, as do the pearly white polish, a moonstone cocktail ring, and moonstone earrings. Shield your eyes from the sun's rays with a straw fedora, then switch it for a white feathered headband for the evening festivities.

Formal wedding: Formal weddings and evening receptions mean calling out all the stops. A one-shoulder dress is sassy without being too revealing

Wear black or white to a wedding? Ah, the age-old question of whether it's appropriate to wear black or white to someones wedding. I think white is definitely a no-no out of respect for the bride, and while the little black dress is always a safe bet, the LBD can be a bit stale sometimes. Why not go for a patterned dress that combines the two?

Will you be attending a wedding sometime soon, and if so, any idea what you'll be wearing?

Good luck and remember to always look your best :)

"The Vow" Wedding Dress Details

"The Vow"  have you watched the movie?

How beautiful is Rachel McAdams, wearing a short  pink Betsey Johnson wedding dress in her new movie, “The Vow”. The  flirty dress has ruching at the bodice and floral details on the full skirt. Many stars like Reese Witherspoon and a few other celebs  also wore pink wedding dresses recently. What do you think of the pink gown? Do you like to be unique or would you go with the traditional  look?

For her wedding band style, Rachel, wore a beautiful Lyria Leave wedding band.  The ring is made of 18K yellow gold and has satin finished cascading leaves that strike a balance between strength and beauty. We loved the wedding band.  Gold engagement and wedding bands are becoming popular these days.
