Wedding Insurance How Important Is It

We often don't think or want to invest money from our wedding budget towards insurance, specially wedding insurance, I mean what are the odds something really bad can happen?

What do you do when the unthinkable happens? You and your groom broke up, or there is a death in the family, or what happens in the case of Hurricane Irene?

While no one wants any of these things to happen, there is a way to help protect yourself - at least financially. Talk to your wedding planner they can direct you in the right track. Every bride should consider wedding insurance. Wedding insurance can help cover many of the financial aspect that happens should you need to postpone or even cancel your wedding.

I'm assuming the average wedding in NY or NJ can be about 40,000.00 your wedding insurance may cost you less than 600.00 (I am assuming i am not an insurance coverage agent therefore; i do not have the accurate numbers). But you may talk to your planner they should be able to direct you to the proper agent, we always inform our brides of these services we also direct them to the proper agent.

For a few hundred dollars you can avoid total or partial forfeit of money paid to reception halls, photographers, and, even include wedding guest liability. No couple should be without wedding insurance. As a bride you should at least look into the wedding insurance information.

Good luck

Today's Qoute

You don't get to choose on how you are going to die. Or when. You can only decide on how you are going to live now! Make life worth living. Cherish every moment.

Details Of Kim's Wedding

Kim, selected designer/family friend Vera Wang up to the challenge. "Kim and I often spoke of creating a fantasy wedding gown," the designer said. "I'm so excited! As a friend of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, I wish the engaged couple all the joy and happiness in the world!"

Kim and Kris' wedding invite is perfect. At the very top is an embossed family crest -- made up of the bride and groom's initials. Then the scrolly text reads: "Kris and Bruce Jenner request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their daughter Kimberly Kardashian to Kristopher Humphries." Pretty standard. Other juicy tidbits garnered from the invite: It will go down in Montecito, California (near Oprah's estate) and it will be very, very fancy. The dress code is black tie!

Kim was apparently inspired by Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding cake and is also going for a monstrous confection for her big day. Rumer has it that Kim has ordered a 10-tiered white cake with chocolate chip icing and black and white decorations -- and costs somewhere between $15,000 and $20,000. Apparently that's what it takes to feed 1,000 guests.

What do guests buy for the couple who has everything? Well, they're asking for items such as a Baccarat Cosmos extra large vase for the $7,500, a $375 candy jar, crystal bar bowls for $140 each, Havana ashtrays for $840 each, a $635 ice bucket, and more. They registered at high-end store Gearys in Beverly Hills in June.

How Important Is Premarital Counseling

The importance of premarital counseling.

I am a firm believer that before entering into a marital commitment, every couple should seek some pre-marital counseling. This is a sensitive topic for most couples. Some couples are apprehensive about the idea of seeing a therapist, particularly because everything is going well.

Many couples believe that seeking a therapist is mainly for couples in trouble. Premarital counseling is geared towards healthy relationships.

Here are some reasons why seeking pre-marital counseling is important:

  • Allows couples to look at a life for ever after.

  • Prepares couples for the adjustments of married life

  • Maintaining a successful marriage, is not about how your fights are, but rather how you both resolve the fight.

  • Understanding each others needs and support.

  • Becoming a team vs one against the other.
Please note* Whether you have been married before or never been married at all, getting married is an adjustment. Believe it or not you may be living with your soon to be husband, however; you both will be surprised how different your relationship feels after the ceremony, trust me this happened to me.

As individuals we both bring different set of expectations to the marriage, this may cause some conflicts later in the relationship if it is not taken care before marriage, counseling will bring these expectations to light, in which you can both agree and or work on before walking down the aisle.

FYI* I am not a doctor, these are just some tips that can help marriages last, some of us don't think this is important when planning our wedding, but at the end of the day, and by experience, I believe this should be the first thing handled once you are engaged. This can be a marriage saver down the line.
