Wedding Concepts

Tips for choosing a wedding concept also know as theme,   I thought this would an appropriate post for two reasons.  First, I keep getting asked what would be a great theme, and second, It is something you should check of your list 10 months before your special day!

Below are a few tips.

1 | Your Concept Should Reflect Your Personal Couple Style
If you choose a concept, it should reflect your personal style.  Is your relationship simple? Fun-loving? etc..  Are one of you from another country and incorporating multiple cultures into your wedding?  Make your wedding yours.

2| Make Sure Your Wedding is Timeless
Have you ever looked back on something you've done and said, "why did I ever wear that?" Think about this when selecting your theme!  You don't want to do something and regret it 15 years from now, make sure your concept represents you and your fiance.

3| Consider  Your Budget
This is tough because it is hard to resist every idea or item related to your wedding concept (theme).  Take into consideration your budget and figure out what is most important to you and your fiance on your wedding day!

The benefit of having a concept is it brings some cohesiveness to your wedding from the ceremony to the reception!

One last thought on concepts ( themes)... just because you are getting married close to a holiday, don't feel like your wedding has to reflect the holiday theme.  Instead, do what you want! :)

You Can Own A Wedding Dress Once Worn by Beyonce

You Can Own A Wedding Dress Once Worn by Beyonce

The opulent Baracci wedding dress Beyoncé wore in her 2011 “Best Thing I Never Had” music video just surfaced on preownedweddingdresses.com this week, for the Hollywood price of $30,000 (a big markdown from the original $85,000 fee).

An off-white sweetheart ball gown with flecks of gold, the hand-draped double silk size 4 creation is embroidered with French lace and covered with hand-sewn Swarovski pendants and crystals. According to thepreownedweddingdresses.com blog, Beyoncé “reportedly stumbled on the dress while walking by the designer’s Beverly Hills boutique, and asked to wear it in her video.”
The opulent gown is seemingly a far cry from the simpler white dress Beyoncé wore to her own wedding in 2008, a look she shared a peek of in her 2011 “I Was Here” video (the girl certainly had a thing for bridal wear that year, eh?).
No word on who’s selling the gown.
