Model Lauren Bush has shared photos from her Western-themed wedding to David Lauren with the new issue of Vogue.
The granddaughter of former president George H.W. Bush married fashion designer Ralph Lauren‘s youngest son at the Lauren family’s Double RL ranch in Colorado on September 3.
Bush wore a long-sleeved wedding dress, designed by Ralph Lauren, made of tulle, lace and crystals. The gown took 3,000 hours to make with 100 craftspeople hand-embroidering pearls, small flower motifs and Renaissance-era scroll designs in ivory silk and metallic thread.
In keeping with the “rustic elegant” theme, the bride and her bridesmaids wore cowboy boots and Lauren chose blue socks for her something blue.
A reception followed in the 200-year-old barn which was decorated with flowers including wild roses, lily of the valley, Queen Anne’s lace, and delicate gardenias. Country singer Michael Martin Murphey performed and the dinner menu included steaks from the ranch along with a vegetarian option.
“You could put out paper plates and confetti, and it would be gorgeous,” Lauren tells Vogue, “but we didn’t quite do that.”
How amazing and stunning those Lauren look. I am in love with her wedding gown.
