New York’s new law allowing same sex marriage. N.Y. becomes sixth and largest state to legalize gay marriages.

I am a firm believer in happiness... everyone is entitled to be happy. New York, approved the gay marriage, although this will go into effect July 25, as a planner I can forecast a very busy wedding weekend following July 25.

Just remember in some states your marriage will not be recolonized just yet.

Here are a few things you need before your big day.

Obtaining your marriage licence. No worries this is very simple and this only takes 24 hours to obtain with a small fee of $35.00. You may obtain your licence by going to any city clerks office, both you and your partner must be present.

Vermont

New Hampshire

New Jersey

Iowa

Maryland

D.C.
